I highly recommend Richard Waine Photography. Richard resolved to create for me an authentic image that reflected the brand I sought to promote. He did not conclude the session until that result was achieved. To do so, he employed the services of an award-winning makeup artist (who stayed for the duration of the session to apply touch-ups as needed), maximized lighting, and educated me on facial expression/alignment and body positioning techniques that enhance natural features. With his friendly, welcoming manner, he made the whole process fun.

Top notch service and even more amazing photos for my entire team. I own a mortgage company with 5 locations across the US. Richard did the photos for everyone in my HQ and also helped facilitate the heads shots for everyone else in my other locations. All head shots have the same look, feel and quality. There is a huge difference between an actor's headshot, a corporate headshot, and a pretty picture. Plus, different looks and lighting techniques go in and out of fashion. (Remember when black and white headshots were all the rage? And when submissions were all done with 8x10's by mail?) Richard networks with CD's and other photographers to learn and understand what CD's look for in an actor's headshot. What catches the eye, and why. His technique provides that polished look that tells the CD "I am a professional actor, this is what you get." My entire family has returned to Richard multiple times as our looks have changed, and we are getting ready for our new round of headshots. He always takes the amount of time necessary to get the shots we need, regardless of how long or short it takes. No rushing, no hurries. Oh, yeah, and don't tell him this, but he undercharges for his work. You definitely get more than what you pay for, between time, knowledge, and finished product.

If there were 6 stars I would of chose that. Professional, upbeat, focused, and passionate with his work. In my photo shoot he was able to turn posing and smiling into just more than pictures, but a great experience all around.

Where can I start? I have never had a professional headshot service before so I knew this would be a treat compared to the JC Penney styled shoots I’m used to, but this far exceeded my expectations. About a month ago I had an excellent headshot session in downtown Lancaster, PA with Richard Waine of Richard Waine Photography. What I liked most? He didn't leave it to me to know what would look best. Since then, I am getting more callbacks than I got using other headshot images and and hoping to start booking even more work soon. We are always our own worst critic and our greatest deceiver. Richard employed an arsenal of easy to follow direction, and attention to minute detail, that drove the session toward capturing me as my best self. Narrowing down the shots was a collaborative effort. Rather than just tossing shots he explained why they don't work. For those we kept, he explained why they were the best image of me as it relates to roles I typically seek and/or my type. Ultimately, we worked, but had a great time. Give him a call if you want headshots. This is not just someone with a camera...he specializes in headshot photography...and not just for the stage. If you need an image to use for an online resource for work (Attorney, Chef, Financial Advisor, Clergy) he can provide you the perfect shot.

Let me preface this review by saying I myself don't like being in front of a camera nor do I feel I ever have any good pictures of myself let alone a quality headshot. Richard easily managed to fix all that with a bit of coaching. Just by following his instructions and talking in a way that got my mind off the camera he nailed an amazing shot of me in a short amount of time. If you want something that makes you look polished and professional you NEED to go to someone like Richard. He sweats all the details for you so that your headshot doesn't come off looking like something out of a high-school yearbook. His work is nothing like the 15-minute, take a few shots against a brick wall, blank-faced expression headshots like you normally see. It's all about making you look confident, polished,and friendly. While I still don't like being in front of a camera so much I love my headshot and can't recommend this service enough.

Mr. Waine is a great headshot photographer. I have had headshot photographers before, but Rich really knows the intricacies with what makes a good headshot. Even if you're new (or experienced), he knows how to help guide you toward getting the headshot you want. Rich is also easy going and will help you feel at ease during the session with his jokes. Sessions aren't timed and he won't rush you. Also he's one of the few who seem to understand actor's headshots as oppose to the more corporate based ones. I highly recommend checking him out.

Richard and I are both headshot photographers and in Facebook forum we are both members, I raised a question about an issue I was having with my website and he stepped up and offered to help address and fix the problem. Of course, as soon as he saw my website, he suggested that I consider redesign it for better conversion. He sounded like he knew his way around the Squarespace platform and today he launched my newly redesigned website and I couldn't be happier. There were very few bumps along the way. Some of the delays were mine and mine alone, but Richard was incredibly patient but at the same time persistent on getting the project wrapped up. His knowledge of not just the platform but the back end of it to be able to configure SEO elements and factors really impressed me. If you are considering a new website, and Squarespace is the platform of your choice, I wouldn't hesitate asking Richard to work on it. He will take your ideas and implements them. Of course, I threw some crazy options at him and while he considered them, he also didn't hesitate to caution me on the pitfalls of doing things because they only look good. The goal of any website should be offering visitors just the right amount of information, in an elegant way, but with the ultimate goal of converting them into becoming paying clients.
